In most states, electronic notarization means you will be able to electronically notarize documents using DocVerify. Electronic notarization means that all of the signers and the notary must be physically present at the time of signing as required by law; however, in some states, you will be able to e-notarize that same document via a web cam remotely using DocVerify's e-Notary platform. In July of 2012, the state of Virginia began allowing commissioned e-notaries to perform remote or online notarizations via a web cam, which opens the doors for lots of possibilities. Additionally, the states of Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Vermont either allow their commissioned notaries to perform online notarizations or have laws in the works for remote notary. As a Notary you can utilize DocVerify as a tool to enable you to also perform remote notarizations.
Unlike most e-notary providers, DocVerify does not charge a fee for every notary stamp or signature element placed on the pages of the documents. Each e-notary transaction created in DocVerify will allow the notary to place as many notary stamps or signatures as needed without having to worry about additional fees for having more than one notary stamp or signature on the document.
